“I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out
in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom
of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.”
-Jack London

I love that Jack London quote and they really suit the beautiful images. 🙂
That’s a great quote–I think it’s hard to live up to London’s philosophy but it’s still inspiring!

I like the words of Jack London. Your campfire is wonderful. Have sat around many camprfires in my life time. Being in the outdoors, sitting and watching the flames and glowing embers of a campfire is one of my favorite things to do. Nice post, love your photos.
Brilliant words to live by, also the images are amazing.
